These fantastic Nyglass

(glass reinforced nylon) ball valves have a Nyglass body rated to 1,600 kPa, a machined chromed brass ball, brass stem, teflon seals, nylon handle and a galvanized bolt secures the handle to the stem.   They have proven to be an excellent valve that is suited to above or below ground installations and will operate perfectly for many years.   We have been using this brand of Italian made valve for 5-years and have not had a valve fail.   UV stable, strong and with a very neat female BSP thread.Suitable for water from 0 to 75 degrees C so it can be used with hot water.

The CIM 11 DR ball valve is manufactured in accordance with EN29000 – ISO9000 and can be used for: domestic and commercial plumbing, industrial applications, agricultural requirements and heating, sanitary, pneumatic systems, waterworks, oil pipelines, oil, gasoline networks, saturated steam or high temperature, hot water services, condensate lines and is suitable for petrol and other hydrocarbon services, generally with every non aggressive fluid.

Do not confuse these excellent valves for inferior products.  

Our pink teflon plumbers tape is manufactured by Fedseal and is definitely a far superior product to all of those very thin white tapes.   “Teflon 002” is manufactured to a very high standard and so it is of uniform size and thickness over the complete roll.   With a thickness of 0.1mm it is up to 3 times thicker than some cheaper white versions on the market.   “Teflon 002” should be used on all Nyglass, stainless steel, brass, cast iron, aluminium, and gunmetal, ductile iron, pvc and most other BSP style threads.   “Teflon 002” on our Hansen range of Nyglass fittings generally only requires 4 or 5 turns of “Teflon 002” to provide a leakproof seal.   Rolls of “Teflon 002” are 12mm wide x 0.1mm thick x 10m long and all of the tape can be used.
